Established in 1968 based in Palembang, PT Thamrin Brothers is the main dealer of YAMAHA motorbikes in Sumatra. They also offer spare-parts and after-sales service. The rapid development of the automotive business calls for company’s expansion. At the moment, Thamrin Brothers have expanded to 10 branches in Palembang and 28 branches all over Sumatra. Managing workforce with little more than pencil and paper is certainly an unwieldy albeit possible tactic. However, as the company's business operations expanded and as the PT Thamrin Brothers workforce grew to 1,500 employees, executives realized that managing with paper would no longer be possible or efficient. As the company grew and increased its workforce to more than 1,500 employees, HR wanted to replace manual processes with automated human capital and talent management processes.
